In an alternative reality, the Celtics raised their 18th banner two years ago and Stephen Curry never won his fourth championship. The Heat's play-by-play announcer Eric Reid was apparently living under a rock when the exact opposite happened in 2022.
During the Warriors' road game in Miami on Tuesday, Reid made an egregious on-air blunder when he claimed that Boston won the 2022 NBA Finals.
"Andrew Wiggins, a guy who averaged 18 points and nine rebounds a game in the 2022 NBA Finals, which they [Warriors] lost to the Celtics," Reid said during the second quarter.

To make matters worse, Reid doubled down on his comment after a discernible gap. Clearly, nobody from the Bally Sports Sun production staff fact-checked his blunder.
"Two years ago, it was Boston in six, to win it all," Reid added during the next possession.
Perhaps Reid stopped watching the 2022 NBA Finals after the Celtics claimed a 2-1 lead in the series and looked primed to win it all.
However, Curry produced a heroic 43-point performance in Game 4 to tie up the series when the Warriors had their backs against the wall. The sharpshooter had two more electric showings as the Warriors closed the series in six games.
