FC Porto are not going to hold talks with head coach Sergio Conceicao until they have competed in the Portuguese Cup final on May 26.

As reported by the Portuguese newspaper A Bola (via Milan News), Porto are not going to be making any drastic decisions when it comes to their coach.

Milan have been linked heavily with a move for Conceicao as they seek a replacement for Stefano Pioli ahead of next season, but they will have to wait for clarity on the former Inter and Lazio player’s situation.

Conceicao actually signed a contract extension recently, but Pinto da Costa then lost the presidential election against Andre Villas-Boas and it emerged that the extension was only legal if Da Costa remained as president.

Given Conceicao publicly supported Da Costa in the run-up to the elections, it is not a settled situation in Porto.

Porto are set to face Liga Portugal champions Sporting CP in the cup final at Jamor on May 26 and only after that match will serious talks take place that result in a decision.

Milan may want to already have a new coach in place before the end of the month, meaning Conceicao may need to step out of line if he is to become Milan coach.
